This Intergroup Office serves the four county area consisting of Brunswick, Columbus, New Hanover and Pender Counties in North Carolina.  Find listings for local Alcoholics Anonymous meetings including those in Carolina and Kure Beach.  There is an A.A. member at our office who answers the phone when anyone in the four county area calls Alcoholics Anonymous (910) 794-1840.  You can also visit their web site.

Find listings for local Narcotics Anonymous Meetings including those in Carolina Beach.  Narcotics Anonymous is a global, community-based organization with a multilingual and multicultural membership.  The group atmosphere provides help from peers and offers an ongoing support network for addicts who wish to pursue and maintain a drug-free lifestyle.

The center has helps residents in need of food, clothing, help with utility bills, rent and anything else it can afford. This center is a way to help residents of Pleasure Island who may not qualify for other assistance programs stay put in the community.

Al-Anon is a mutual support group of peers who share their experience in applying the Al-Anon principles to problems related to the effects of a problem drinker in their lives. Alateen is a peer support group for teens who are struggling with the effects of someone else’s problem drinking.  Visit their Facebook page or call Call (910) 338-9059.

The local chapter of the National Alliance on Mental Illness offers support groups for individuals with mental illness. Also offers support and training for the families of individuals with mental illness.  Visit their web site for more information.

Ocean Cure is a 501c3 non-profit organization based out of Carolina Beach, NC whose goal is to improve the quality of life for those with life challenges and disabilities through surfing. There are several events throughout the year in North Carolina including Carolina Beach.
